This post is a little late, how usual of me...

My sister in law, Hilary, got married a few weeks ago! It was a beautiful reception and I am so happy for her and Mead.

I didn't get very many good pictures, but here are some from the night...

Oh, and my sister in law, Cari, and I helped contribute to the centerpieces...

500 cupcakes. chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. The baking was {cake}. It was the frosting that took the longest to make. Good thing we had two mixers handy. We were happy to help and we had fun frosting, decorating and harassing Neal in the process :)

I guess better late than never...

February, we celebrated Becca's birthday. She made a special trip from Utah so we could take her to dinner. It was a fun night and we were really happy to be able to celebrate her birthday with her.

Also, Kev and I took a little trip to Sedona a few weeks ago to celebrate our two year anniversary. It is beyond gorgeous! It is one of the best places to go for awesome views, and just to get away and relax. We were expecting it to be a little warmer, but we went during a chilly weekend. It was nice the first day and we were able to go out to the shops, play tennis, and go swimming, but the next day it hailed! It was still a really relaxing and fun little trip. On our way home, we found a few antique shops, and in Camp Verde they have the best antique store (Sweet Pea Antiques) I have ever been to. They had so many things I loved. I really would not mind making the drive just to go back.

V-Day

Both of us have never really cared too much for this holiday, but we decided to go out to dinner anyways. So, Kevin LOVES pizza. His favorite place has always been Nello's...until now. I have been trying to get him to try the pizza from BJ's for awhile now. All of my friends know that its dang good. Now, Kev is in LOVE...just in time for V-Day :)

Hilary's Shower

This super cute girl is soon to be married! We just threw her a shower this past weekend, and it was a success! I am so excited for her and Mead. They are an awesome couple!

Snow

No, not snowboarding, but sledding...haha. We were going to go snowboarding, but didn't have time in the weekend to head up to Brian Head (due to our heater breaking on the way up to Utah and kev having to spend 8 hours fixing it).

But it was still a lot of fun. We just hung out in St. George and got to do a few fun things.

So I just trying to take a picture of the view with Kev in the picture, but...

I didn't realize he was trying to cool down and doing this in the pic til afterwards. Seriously, this boy gets so hot all the time, even in the snow!

One of the nights, we met up with Ward and Randi, Kev's brother and sister-in-law. We went to the St. George Temple, got some ice cream, and then we went up to the Dixie hill to see the view of the city.

We also ate at The Pizza Factory while we were there. So dang yummy!

It was a relaxing and fun weekend! We'll have to give Brian Head another shot sometime!

3rd Annual...

Girls' Christmas Party. This past Saturday, my friends and I got together for our Annual Christmas Party. It was a fun-filled night with a yummy dinner, gifts exchanged, games and lots of laughing and good company. This year, mainly because it was my turn to host the party, I actually got around to making a wreath and garland and putting up some decorations. I hope as we get older, and more busy with our lives, we will be able to keep up this holiday tradition :)

I went and saw Meagan and baby Cash Horne today, and he is just the cutest little thing! He is so tiny, yet so precious! It is so amazing to see her as a little mommy now! She is going to be a really good mom :) I'm so happy for her!

This month has been pretty busy, but it's going to start getting even crazier with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Kev's bday rounding the corner. Hopefully I'll be better at blogging for all the holiday haps.

Our labor day weekend was really fun! We went back up to Utah for the annual Holt family reunion. During our trip, we took our quad to the pink coral sand dunes. I've never seen sand dunes mixed with water before. It was really pretty!

On our way back home, we stopped at my grandpa's ranch in Prescott to spend a night with them. It was a pretty laid back day filled with some quad riding and just hanging out.

It was a really pretty day.

Us girls went out to to Bostons a few weeks ago for Meagan and I's bday's. It was really fun. We went back to Meag's to make a cute Halloween wreath.

Congrats to MEAGAN! Baby Cash was born just a few days ago on the 22nd!

I went shooting with Kev one early morning.

This past weekend I just participated in the Zoo Walk for Autism Research with the family and their little boy, Cade, I do therapy with. It was a really neat experience to see how many people contributed and supported. I love working with this little guy; he is always so much fun!

4th of July Weekend

Kev and I have been on quite a few roadtrips this summer...thus far, anyways; we still have a lot of summer days ahead. For the 4th, we went up with some of my family to my grandpa's cabin in Prescott for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks, of course :) I wish I had gotten some pictures of the actual cabin and of all of us playing badmitton/yahtzee. It's so pretty up there, and it was especially green this year.

The fireworks show was pretty amazing this year. We always go to one of the church buildings in Prescott Valley and sit in the grass and pass the red vines around. It reminds me so much of my grandma when we go up to the cabin, especially on the 4th. It was always one of her most favorite places to go and she loved to go up there and watch the fireworks.

Kev and I both had Monday off as well, and we hadn't taken a trip to go visit the Gila Valley Temple yet, so we decided to go check it out. It was obviously closed, so we weren't able to go inside or do a session, but it was beautiful as ever from the outside. It looks amazing with the mountains in the background.

Aside from visiting the temple, we made a few short stops along the way...random as ever, but we couldn't pass them up!

Summer so far

It's a done deal - we finally moved in. Queen Creek is pretty far, but after a full week, we are already starting to get used to the daily commute. The best part is that there are Canadians to the left and right of us who are only there 6 months out of the year, no house behind us and a huge grass park in front of us. So, we don't have any "next-door-neighbors", which is wonderful!

We had everything unpacked and away by the 2nd day, but now the everlasting process of decorating is underway. Usually when I decorate for myself I struggle through the miserable process. However... right now everything is flowing so well...in my head...But don't hold your breath, it might take a while to accumulate "stuff".

We've been up to some fun things before the move:

Memorial Day weekend we went quad riding with my dad in Prescott. We came home and then drove back up to Prescott the next day to my grandpa's cabin with my aunt and her husband. Kevin cooked dutch oven chicken and potatoes. It was a short day trip, but long fun weekend :)

We also just went to Bryce Canyon with Kev's family for 4 days. It was a lot of fun. We stayed at an RV park up there. Kevin and I decided to stay in his parent's motor home this time instead of roughing it out in a tent, like last year. While up there, we visited Zion National Park, went quad riding and spent time with Kev's family.

Then, it was one of my best friend's birthdays on the 17th!!! Katelyn turned the BIG 21! All of us girls went out to Red Robin for dinner and then over to Meagan's new house afterwards.

P.S. - Although I am happy for our house, I will miss swimming and laying out by the pool at our apartment!.....

For Mother’s Day, my sister and I took some pictures for my mom since the most recent picture she has framed of us together is from 10th grade. Kev and I got in a couple as well. She loved them! They obviously were not profesh haha; Kev took them, but I thought they turned out pretty good :)

My Only Wish (This Christmas)

No, it's not for any particular gift; rather, to just be able to get everything done in time!

This year definitely has been one of the busiest! There just has been so much going on - so many christmas get-togethers and parties. And not including my big list of to-do's. But it really has been one of my favorite Christmases, probably because there has been so many fun things going on!

Here's a little recap:

It's started out with the Phoenix Electric Parade. It's my uncle, Jeff's, tradition to go every year.

Then, there was our Annual Christmas Party with my friends. We always do Secret Santa and make a yummy dinner.

Each of us brought stockings and stocking stuffers for each other.

And we also opened each other's gift from their Secret Santa.

One of my gifts from Heather was this Snuggie. I love it!!

It was a really fun night!

My grandpa just had a big get together this past Saturday to go for a bus ride with my whole family around the valley to go look at Christmas lights. Oh, there was also a petting zoo there as well :)

Yes, that's a lama. There were also goats, chickens, a pig, rabbits, and a calf; all of which were completely friendly and would totally let you pick them up.

This is in front of my grandpa's house, right before we all got on the bus to go look at lights. His was pretty decked out too.

We went to some other spots in Gilbert, Queen Creek and Chandler. Our last stop was the Mesa Temple, my favorite.

The three wisemen were always my favorite at the Temple lights.

Kev and I have been spending more time on his new quad lately, now that my semester is over. Here are some pictures from when Kev's brother, Neal, came along with us. He took us to this place in the West Valley that was really fun and overlooked the city.

So, as you can see, it's been a pretty eventful holiday so far, but there is still more to come! I still have soooo many cookies to make for people, present wrapping, some last minute shopping and still have two more family Christmas parties! I love it though. Christmas has been really fun this year. It comes and goes way too fast for my liking. And I'm excited to spend Christmas with Kev this year.

Goodbye ASU. It was fun/agonizing/rewarding:

-pulling all-nighters in your libraries and study rooms

-surviving the lectures taught by boring professors

-enjoying the awesome ones :)

-getting accused for "cheating" in my psych 101 class (very first semester) when I really wasn't...I just accidentally left my study guide on my lap {haha Heather and Katelyn-good times}

-taking creepy phone pics of attractive Dr. Short

-classes with Kimberly Fontes (how would have I gotten through Anatomy without her!)

-study parties at Heather's with Kim and Kelly (with the company of Kat and Becca to harrass us at times)

-getting to know the amazing institute teachers

-paying for your expensive books

-And being able to take all of the knowledge and experiences with me

So, I may be done with my last semester at ASU, but I still have nursing school to complete at MCC to get that RN license, and then a BSN (bachelor in science of nursing) to pick up at ASU. I still have quite a while until I'm completely done (because of the long waiting list), but I'll no longer be taking classes at ASU, which is sad after 2.5 years being a student there.

It definitely was fun, and I'm sure the nursing program at MCC will be just as great.

Good Soundtrack

Rarely do I find a soundtrack where almost all of the songs are good, but movies such as Dan in Real Life, The Last Kiss ( no, I never saw it), and 500 Days of Summer have awesome soundtracks. I so happened to go see 500 Days of Summer with two of my friends (Becca and Katelyn) this past Saturday and I am in love! Such a good movie with AMAZING soundtrack (Thanks to Becs for reccommending). Its sooooooo good! Also, there are a few hilarious parts...Go See It!!!

Joshua Radin!

On Thursday night, Heather, Becca and I got the chance to go to a free concert/block party in downtown Scottsdale for Joshua Radin! It was such a fun night and there were a few other artists that opened for Joshua Radin that turned out to be really good!

We started the night with dinner at Nello's

As always, it was dang good!

The first to play was a band called Try Me Bicycle. They were really good if you like that indie style of music.

The lead singer was such a cutie. And after they played a girl named, Meiko, performed. I just don't have any pictures of her. She was so cute! I definately recommend her music.

After Meiko, then Joshua Radin came on! He was amazing!

It was late and we got a little crazy on the way home.
